Play’n Go launched this online slot on 14th of January 2016. The full name of the slot is Rick Wilde and the Book of Dead, and it’s one of the first Egypt-themes slots. Today Rick Wilde can be met on several slots, and you can also meet his sister, Cat Wilde.
As mentioned, this is one of the first Egypt-themed slots. You’ll explore hidden chambers in the pyramids along with Rick Wilde. Here you’ll meet Horus, Anubis, and Osiris. You’ll also have the chance to find the big treasure of 5000x your stake.
The minimum stake is 1 NOK per spin, while the maximum bet is 1000 NOK, making it a slot for any kind of player. This is a high volatility slot, so there are many experienced players that prefer to place smaller bets. We’ll come back to this a bit later.
This slot was launched in 2016, so it’s quite old. You shouldn’t expect to find any Buy Bonus or Ante Bet on the slot. The only way to trigger any bonus features is by chance. Just like it should be on a classic slot like this.
The Rick Wilde and the Book of Dead online slot by Play’n Go has only a few bonus features. But, sometimes less is more. We also have to say that the chosen features are great. This slot will keep you entertained for hours.
The first Book of Dead slot feature we’re going to tell you about is the Gamble Feature. This is a feature you can find on several older slots. Today it’s not so common. Still, it’s very popular. Even a small win can give you a great payout with Gamble Feature.
Wilds are a simple feature that you can find on a lot of slots. The feature is inspired by the joker in a deck of cards. One of the most important reasons for why wilds are so popular, is that they are extremely helpful when you’re playing.
The last and most important feature is the Book of Dead Free Spins. Everybody loves free spins, but the Book of Dead Free Spins has something extra. That is the Expanding Symbols that can secure you that big win on this online slot by Play’n Go.
When you get a win on the Rick Wilde and the Book of Dead slot you have two options. You can either cash in the winnings, and the win will be added to your balance immediately. The other option is to Gamble.
If you choose Gamble, you’ll be taken to a table where you can play cards. Again there are two options. The first option is a card game where you have to guess the correct colour of the hidden card, and the second is to guess the correct suit of the hidden card.
It’s easier to guess the correct colour of the hidden card that’s going to be revealed. It’s a 50/50 chance. If you guess correctly, you’ll double your stake. Now you can either cash out or make another gamble. If you guess incorrectly, your stake is lost.
To guess the suit of the next card is more difficult, and here there’s only a 25 % chance that you will guess correctly. But, if you do, you’ll quadruple your stake. That’s because the higher risk can give you a higher reward on the Book of Dead slot.
The Golden Tomb symbol is both the Wild Symbol and the Bonus Scatter on the Book of Dead slot by Play’n Go. This symbol can land on any of the 5 reels on the slot. That’s in both the main game and in the Free Spins Bonus Game.
As the Golden Tomb symbol is the only special symbol on this online slot it can substitute for any other symbol. That makes it very helpful when you’re trying to create winning combinations of low or high value symbols.
To get a win when playing the Book of Dead slot, you’ll need at least two high value symbols or three low value symbols. These symbols have to stretch from the leftmost real over an active betline.
If you get a Wild, you’ll just need one high value symbol or two low value symbols to get a win. The Wilds on the Rick Wilde and the Book of Dead slot doesn’t have any additional features such as Multipliers or Stickyness.
When you manage to collect three or more Golden Tomb symbols you’ll activate the Book of Dead Free Spins. The Bonus Scatters can land anywhere on your reels. You’ll just have to collect enough symbols to activate the bonus feature.
In addition to Free Spins, you’ll also be rewarded with a Multiplier Win. Three Bonus Scatters will give you a 2x Multiplier, four Bonus Scatters will reward you a 20x Multiplier, while five Bonus Scatters will pay you a 200x Multiplier.
Before you start playing your Book of Dead Free Spins, one symbol will be selected and turned into an Expanding Symbol. If this symbol is a part of a winning combination, it might expand if it can become a part of an additional winning combination.
When you start playing the Book of Dead Bonus Game, you’ll start with 10 Free Spins. If you manage to collect three more Bonus Scatters you’ll be rewarded with 10 additional Book of Dead Free Spins. This might happen several times during the bonus game.
